Watching foreign drama films isn't too different from watching other films that you're used to. If you think about it, we don't just stack our Netflix queues in the hopes of finding something interesting.

We watch them in hopes of finding something to identify with, such as a trace of ourselves or a sense of what our lives could be.

Our workplaces, colleges, and universities pride themselves on celebrating diversity. However, one of the most interesting discoveries we can make about different people is not that which sets us apart, but the elements we have in common.

Foreign films come from a different region of the world, but most of them are about people like you and me. They too have dreams and aspirations, worries and hopes, tales of heartbreak, and stories of success against all odds.

The drama is in a different language, but in many ways, they might as well be, or already are, the ones we experience ourselves.
